It is unknown if the series will be renewed for a second season, but if it is, I may take a pass on it to explore other fantasy or gamer-themed anime that give the protagonist greater challenges. Granted, I have not read the source material, but I think the anime adaption should have made the battles a bit harder for Mira to endure because frankly, it just got boring after a while. Not to mention, the show avoids falling into any politically correct traps and I applaud them for that. It is a shame because I liked Mira as a character and the new avatar created some pretty awkwardly funny moments that were well-written. She is a Mary Sue on every level with characters, Solomon being the exception, only existing to tell her how great she is. Other than the mystery of why players are stuck in the game, Mira faces virtually no challenges. However, unlike other shows that introduce challenges to confound them this one does not. For instance, a common isekai trope sees the protagonist being introduced with overpowered qualities and this is certainly true of Mira. Accompanied by the Isuzu Alliance, Mira rushes to stop the Chimera Clausen from hunting down the King of Spirits. When it comes to She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, I felt like it lacked a lot of good qualities that isekais have. Who does not want to see someone being whisked away to another world, such as their favorite video game, to live a whole new life? Shows like Sword Art Online and The Rising of the Shield Hero have definitely proven that. Isekai adventures have become all of the rage in a post-pandemic globe. Ryusen Hirotsugu is a Japanese writer best known for She Professed Herself Pupil. What is odd is that the game world is also becoming more realistic with each new adventure. Can Mira find what shes looking for thereand make it out alive Author. Along the way, she meets other players who are stuck and encounters NPCs who now seem like regular people. Mira now travels the virtual world looking for clues and telling people that she is Dunbalf’s pupil, which is why she has similar powers. She contacts her friends Solomon ( Brandon McInnis) and Luminaria ( Michelle Rojas) who are also stuck in the game with no answers. To his shock, he awakens as the female avatar Mira (Felecia Angelle) in the video game. As a joke, he turns Dunbalf into a female avatar and falls asleep.
